Girraween's wildflower display begins in late July with the golden wattles bursting into bloom. September and October are the most spectacular months for wildflowers, with magnificent displays of white heaths mixed with the bold yellow, purple and red of pea flowers. Pink Trigger Plants, golden Billy Buttons and the blue and purple of Granite Bluebells and Native Sarsaparilla add to the mass of colour. Finally, the wildflower display ends over the Summer months with more golden wattles, white Flannel Flowers and the blossoms of bottlebrushes, paperbarks and eucalypts.
